ACS J&K Unveils Online Module for Drug Retail, Wholesale and Manufacturing Licensing

JAMMU, November 30: Vivek Bharadwaj, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) for Health and Medical Education, today unveiled the online module for licensing retail, wholesale and manufacturing of drugs with the official launch of its URL https://statedrugs.gov.in in the public domain.

The Additional Chief Secretary said that with the launch of this digital system, Jammu and Kashmir has become the first UT in the country to adopt this module for all types of regulatory approvals with the aim of ensuring ease of to do business.

The country’s National Medicines Authority, namely the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), New Delhi, in collaboration with the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Noida, designed and developed a PAN India portal under the “Online National Drug Licensing System (ONDLS)” banner for all states and UT that will extend to all regulatory approvals related to manufacturing, blood centers, retail and wholesale under the provisions of Chapter IV of the 1940 Law on Medicines and Cosmetics.

All stakeholders seeking regulatory authorizations under the provisions of Chapter IV of the Medicines and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and the Medicines Rules, 1945 under them are now invited to log on to the url. https://statedrugs.gov.in for the submission of applications via said online module on November 30, 2021.
