A new mod for The Last of Us Part 2 adds snow to even the bleakest scenes, giving Ellie a magical winter wonderland to explore.
A new mod for The Last of Us Part 2 manages to make Seattle simply magical, adding snow to the game’s post-apocalyptic landscapes. The Last of Us Part 2 Its first anniversary is fast approaching, but even nearly 12 months after its release, it remains one of the most talked about video games today.
The Last of Us Part 2 follows the years 2013 The last of us with the protagonist Ellie has now grown up and lives among friends within the community of Jackson. However, it becomes apparent that Ellie knows all about Joel’s actions at the end of the first game, and the two now have a strained relationship. This, along with other aspects of the storytelling and gameplay, make The Last of Us Part 2 an emotionally heavy experience. But while the story of The Last of Us Part 2 has caused much debate within the gaming community over the past year, there’s no denying its haunting beauty. Nature has taken over the world, leaving once everyday objects overgrown with foliage and vegetation. The result is a very green environment, especially in Seattle, where the game takes place during the warmer months.
However, one mod managed to transform even some of the The Last of Us Part 2darker scenes in a beautiful winter wonderland. Created and shared by Youtuber Speclizer, the Always Snowing mod adds a thick layer of white to all areas of the game. The results are magnificent and work surprisingly well in many maps in the game where it is not normally present. It’s slightly shocking to see Joel push Ellie into what now appears to be unusually cold water, but otherwise the snow adds a charming and magical element to TLOU2the environments.
Along with this mod, Speclizer also offers a series of The Last of Us Part 2 “Out of Bounds” videos on their YouTube channel. Here the modder breaks The Last of Us Part 2Limits the gameplay of and explores environments that are not normally visible. This includes incredible character details, such as fingerprints, as well as additional animations that are lacking with the game’s traditional camera angles.
The Last of Us Part 2 writers Neil Druckmann and Halley Gross recently revealed that while it’s not in production, they have a screenplay in mind for Part 3. However, this is unlikely to materialize anytime soon, if at all. Rather, a remaster of the first game of The last of us series is believed to be in development and will use Part 2engine, while a new TLOU2 The patch is now available for the PlayStation 5.
