Kirker Greer Spirits expanded its global presence and launched Ukiyo Japanese Gin in Dubai travel retail.
Ukiyo Blossom Gin and Ukiyo Yuzu Gin will be available for purchase at Dubai Duty Free. The brand is represented by Duty Free Global (DFG) in global travel retail.
John Soden, commercial director of Drinksology Kirker Greer, commented: “We are delighted to make Ukiyo available to passengers traveling through Dubai Airport, one of the most iconic travel outlets in the world.
Drinksology Kirker Greer has two divisions: Kirker Greer Spirits, which owns and distributes a range of brands such as Kirker Shamrock Whiskey, Ginato Italian Gin and Jawbox Irish Gin, and a second division called Drinksology Creative, which specializes in design for brands of alcohol.
Drinksology Creative has designed bars, brands and brand houses including The Dead Rabbit, Johnnie Walker Experience and Roe & Co Distillery in Dublin.
Ukiyo spirits are all bottled at 40% ABV.
The gins are made in Kagoshima, in the shadow of the Sakurajima volcano. Locally grown beans are distilled into a traditional Japanese shōchū, which is then redistilled with essential botanicals including juniper, tangerine and spices.
Both Ukiyo gins will be exhibited at the Tax Free World Association (TFWA) show in Cannes next week.
Soden added: “This is yet another win for the brand in the travel retail channel, a key channel for the success of this ultra-premium brand.
“We are seeing tremendous growth and success with Ukiyo in international markets, such as Australia, Germany, the UK and the Netherlands, and we look forward to continuing to build on this success with the Duty Free Global team.”
